Ugh, viagra commercials ruined that song for me :( Since we just got back from the triple, the sun's almost up, and I'm not that tired, I think I'll just stay up for the foreseeable future, and tell you about my weekend. I haven't been describing my job much, mostly because the internet tends to be permanent and well, public. Friday I was in Manitou for a good 4 and some hours, at the official opening of their pool, which is actually impressively nice. Worked on my ridiculous tan. Stood awkwardly for a good couple hours, which is why my standing was impaired for the rest of the weekend. And now, see, standing awkwardly in Winkler is different from standing awkwardly anywhere else. I'm not sure why. It's just that the second that I step out of my hometown, and move in the general direction of the west, and north-west, people are like...actually friendly. We should've taken more roadtrips growing up, because it would have been nice to know that strangers can be...nice. Anyhoo, Canada Day was Winkler, of course. *ahem* yes. (Whenever I type Canada day, I tend to type canaday or canady. mm. candy.) More ridiculous tan work, some, uh, showing adults that I'm not weird and bitter like they are. (FYI: want any job you want in winkler? participate in the yearly...contest to...be the...matriarch of...winkler) And then fireworks: okay. Today was the truck pull, which, shoot me, I can't understand for the life of me. Yesterday, the tractor one was free, and today it had admission and there were even MORE people, and it probably damaged my hearing more than last summer at monarch.
